On behalf of Korea Taekwondo Association of Greater New York, it is my pleasure to extend a special invitation to participate in our upcoming KTA INVITATIONAL TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIP. We would be honored to have you join us for the day of spirited competition and camaraderie.
This invitational is More than Just a Tournament - it's an Opportunity to showcase the skill, dedication, and passion that define Taekwondo at its best. We are particularly thrilled to announce that this event will serve as a key stepping stone toward the prestigious Korean Sport Nationals, a stage where the finest taekwondo practitioners compete. As part of our mission to elevate the sport in our region, we will be selecting top performers from this tournament to represent New York City at the upcoming Korean American Sports Festival in June.

In consideration of my application and permitting me to participate in this event, I hereby take actions for myself, my executors, administrators, heirs, next of kin, successors, and assigns as follows: I waive, release, and discharge any and all liability for my death, disability, personal injury, property damage, property theft or actions of any kind which may occur. The KTA Invitational Championships, their directors, officers, employees, volunteers, representatives, agents, events sponsors, event volunteers, Adelphi University and any other entities or persons involved are hereby released from any and all liabilities or claims.
I acknowledge all contents of the rules and regulations governing this event. I hereby give consent to any and all appropriate medical treatments during the event. I further understand that I may be precluded from participating due to physical issues and that I can be dismissed from the premises without compensation or refund if my conduct hinders the successful operation of the event.
I further hereby certify the use of any and all pictures or videos taken during the event for use by the organizers of the event for any publicity or promotion without compensation at this time or any time.

Current WT/USAT Rules and Regulations will govern the Championships with few modifications to enhance the competition experience for all participants.
Coach Pass:
ONLY those with a Coach Pass will be allowed on the competition floor. Coaches must fill out the Coach Pass Application Form.
Age Bracket:
Athletes will be registered into the appropriate age bracket. Age bracket is determined by the age of the athlete by the end of the current year.
Mandatory Equipment:
Athletes must wear standard Tae Kwon Do uniform. Any WT approved uniform will be allowed.
Shoes and socks are NOT permitted for any events unless medically required.
Athletes must provide their own boards for board breaking.
Athletes must provide their own KPNP electronic socks (WORLD CLASS ONLY).
Athletes that are sparring must wear ALL protective gear:

+ Forearm Guard

+ Hand Gloves
+ KPNP Electronic Socks
+ Groin Protector (Males & Females)
+ Mouth Piece
+ Color Belt Forms: Taegeuk 1 - 8
+ Black Belt Forms: Koryo, Keumgang, TaeBaek, Pyongwon, Shipjin
+ 4-5 years old - Mini
+ 6-7 years old - Dragon
+ 8-9 years old - Tiger
+ 10-11 years old - Youth
+ 12-14 years old - Cadet
+ 15-17 years old - Junior
+ 18-32 years old - Senior
+ 33+ years old - Ultra
+ White/Yellow/Orange Belts
+ Green/Blue/Purple Belts
+ Brown/Red Belts
+ Black Belts (see above for recognized forms)
+ 12-14 years old Cadet Taegeuk 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, Koryo Keumgang
+ 15-17 years old Junior Taegeuk 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, Koryo, Keumgang, TaeBaek
+ 18-32 years old Senior Taegeuk 7, 8, Koryo, Keumgang, TaeBaek, Pyongwon, Shipjin
+ 33+ years old Ultra Taegeuk 7, 8, Koryo, Keumgang, TaeBaek, Pyongwon, Shipjin
+ Poomsae will be scored based on - Accuracy, Energy, Concentration, & Presentation
+ WORLD CLASS - Poomsae Pro Scoring - Cut Off Competition Style
+ Poomsaes to be performed will be announced at the Ring on the day of competition
+ Athletes will provide their own boards
+ Athletes must provided their own holders
+ NO brick, glass, confetti, or fire breaks will be allowed
+ NO shoes, socks, foot gloves, or hand gloves will be allowed
+ Athletes are allowed up to 3 stations max - (maximum 10 boards)
+ Athletes will be allowed up to 3 attempts per station
+ Optional Jumping Stations - (Athletes will provide with their own) *
Total of 3 minutes to setup, break, and clean up
+ Breaking routine will be decided by the athlete
+ Any breaking technique is allowed as long as it abides by the requirements section.
+ Divided into 5 sections:
+ Accuracy & Presentation 20%
+ Technique Difficulty 20%
+ Power & Energy 20%
+ Creativity & Flow of Routine 20%
+ Number of Attempts Taken 20%
+ Current WT/USAT Rules & Regulations will govern the event
+ KPNP Electronic Scoring
+ Best of 3 Rounds (Must win 2 of 3 rounds) to advance to the next round
+ Rounds will be 1 min with 30 sec break in between rounds
+ 4-5 years old - Mini - All Belts
+ 6-7 years old - Dragon - All Belts - NO HEAD CONTACT
+ 8-9 years old - Tiger - All Belts
+ 10-11 years old - Youth - All Belts
